Our journey began in 2002 when Energetics was established operating in Scotland and the North. Since then, we’ve consistently delivered value, adapted to change, and grown into the trusted organisation we call Last Mile today.
Last Mile is granted one of the very first Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO) licences in Great Britain for electricity and is also licensed as an Independent Gas Transporter (IGT) for gas.
UKPS, the Last Mile company operating in the South and Midlands, was established.
Infracapital acquire multi-utility connections company, Energetics.

Last Mile acquires regulated water and wastewater provider, Icosa, headquartered in Cardiff and operating across the UK.

The connections portfolio soars past 1.5m (orderbook and installed). 50% of Last Mile shares are sold to Macquarie Asset Management (MAM), the first global asset manager to commit to managing their portfolio to achieve global net zero emissions by 2040 (ten years ahead of the Paris 2050 goal.)
