Multiple award wins for Welborne Garden Village heat network

Last Mile is proud to announce that our work on the Welborne Garden Village heat network has been recognised with two prestigious awards, winning a Heat Network Award at this year’s ADE Awards and a Utility Week Award.

Delivered in partnership with Rendesco, the Welborne heat network is the UK’s first-of-its-kind ambient water-source heat network. Initially supplying low-carbon heat, cooling and hot water to 700 homes, the development is set to scale to serve 6,000 homes once complete.

Achieving up to 80% CO₂ emissions reduction versus gas, the project demonstrates how innovative, future-ready heat solutions can support the UK’s transition to net zero at scale.

These awards reflect the expertise and collaboration across teams who helped bring this impactful project to life.
